Check it off the list
There is no right or wrong way to update your brand elements as long as they all eventuality get updated. Que the “cohesive” conversation. However if you’d like a list for your list, below is my personal recommendation of what to tackle first. Please note that depending upon your goals and other projects you currently are working on, this order may not be for you.
SOCIAL MEDIA PROFILES: By far the fastest thing to do is update all of your profile photos. Give your bios a quick read to make sure they are in order as well. Don’t neglect the cover photos either. A properly cropped photo is the fastest way check this one off the list.
WEBSITE LOGOS: Even if you don’t have time for a full website update, at least update your logo so when visitors are bouncing between all of your media, they know they are in the correct place.
EMAIL FOOTER: Often overlooked but quick and easy to update. It sets that brand reinforcement each and every time you hit “send.”
EMAIL MARKETING PLATFORMS & CANVA: Both of these likely have a brand area where you can quickly upload your new logo and set default colors and fonts. Don’t see your font available? If you’re a PDS client you should have some alternatives listed in your Brand Guide PDF or look for something visually similar.
WEBSITE & TANGABLES: These groups tend to be the most time consuming and cost consuming. Figure out which group you HAVE to do first: if you’re due for a reorder of labels and order thank you cards, then it’s worth your time to spend updating the print files first. If you’re a service based biz, chances are your website is the more immediate need.
